Principles of Entrepreneur Development
|
|
The developing world is full of enterprising individuals, but without tailored support most of these entrepreneurs have little chance of growing their ventures into larger scale firms, of accessing bank finance, or of becoming internationally competitive. Until now entrepreneurs with ventures larger than typical microenterprises, but smaller than those that attract traditional venture financing, have found themselves unable to access the critical financing, capacity building and trading support that they need to grow their businesses.
By building on best practice principles from the private sector, as well as achievements in microfinance, venture capital, and entrepreneur and enterprise capacity building, Enablis is able to take entrepreneurs in the developing world to the next level through our unique approach to entrepreneur support.
Enablis provides its member entrepreneurs with access to personalised learning, mentoring and coaching programmes, as well as networking opportunities and financing to ensure that each develops to his or her full entrepreneurial capacity.
Through its programmes and services, Enablis provides its member entrepreneurs with:
- Affordable access to technological, human and operational resources in a manner adapted to the needs of each member’s enterprise
- Access to capital on terms and conditions in line with the circumstances and the development stage of the member’s enterprise
- The means and tools by which members are able to share among themselves, their business and life experiences in a permanent search to be a better person, citizen and entrepreneur
For Enablis, the focus of action is on the individual entrepreneur – both those with and without existing enterprises. Enablis believes that in the small-to-medium business sector it is the individual entrepreneur – his or her personal well-being, skills, problem solving, creativity, integrity, and business acumen – that determines the outcome of the enterprise. Informed by this philosophy, Enablis seeks not enterprises with promise, but entrepreneurs with promise. |
