Who Qualifies

Enablis aims to support entrepreneurs who have the passion, commitment and drive to transform their business ideas or early-stage enterprises into larger and more profitable businesses, creating jobs and opportunities for greater numbers of people.   Enablis invests in, and supports, entrepreneurs operating enterprises in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and Mozambique that demonstrate:   A personal commitment to the venture’s success (by providing some collateral for a portion of the loan, where possible, or by other demonstrations of commitment); A successful track record evidenced through work history, both formal and informal business education, and reference checks; Buy-in to the Enablis model by committing to work with Enablis-endorsed business coaches and other service providers; Attention to corporate governance and fair labour practices, by ensuring that employees are fairly compensated and adequately trained, and that the venture adheres to the highest levels of ethical conduct; and That they support and ‘live’ the Enablis vision, mission, and values, through the way that the business carries out its activities.   At this time, Enablis can only accept entrepreneurs in Kenya,  Ghana, Tanzania, Mozambique and South Africa. Applicants must have either citizenship or permanent residency in their country of affiliation.
