Global
Enablis is a public-private partnership, created out of the G8 Digital Opportunities Task Force. The first Enablis business plan was prepared and presented by Accenture, Hewlett- Packard (HP) and Telesystem to the G8 at the Kananaskis Summit in June 2002. As a result, the Government of Canada provided initial funding of CAN$10m over three years through the Canada Fund for Africa.
As founding private sector sponsors, Accenture, and Telesystem provided the resources, skills and expertise required during the start-up phase of the company. Today, with Enablis South Africa operating successfully, Enablis’ founding partners continue to see our vision closely aligned with their own corporate social responsibility and philanthropy activities.
